KNALLO – that´s us – Jantin und Morti.
We met and hit it off ten years ago while working behind the counter at the same arthouse cinema, spending many evenings making popcorn, cracking movie jokes, and filming videos for Instagram.
A playful love of nonsense and curiosity about what would happen if our rough ideas ventured beyond our own little world led to the birth of KNALLO.

Morti
Morti, a country boy. Hobbies as a teenager: smoking, skipping school, and drawing comics.
We’ll see when he “gets around” to writing more about himself. Until then, this is the most important thing to know about him.
Jantin
I grew up in Wuppertal, somewhere between playing Nintendo and hanging out at the dog park. Blessed with a terrible memory, I’ve always looked for ways to preserve my memories. Whether it was my mom’s camcorder, the 4,957 photos in my phone’s gallery, or a box filled with fourteen diaries—packed with daily recaps, photos, movie tickets, and pasted-in fax messages—I wanted to capture moments. Memories of the best jokes, the most carefree days, and the unique feeling of a particular vacation.
That is exactly what my illustrations represent to me. My inspiration comes from images that hold personal meaning—a specific moment or a feeling. I can then take that feeling with me wherever I go, gently captured in elegant lines. And I hope that a little piece of that feeling reaches everyone who welcomes our hand-drawn pieces into their lives.
